Today I wanted to talk about Pink! Pink Quartz is the Pantone color of the year and I could not be happier because pink is one of my favorite colors to wear in fashion and makeup. I already gushed about how much I love pink blush in my 50 Shades of Blush post, but there are other ways to love pink too. I’m going to talk about some of my favorite pink products and 6 of these items can be readily found at the drugstore! (7 when you include the dupe I will talk about for the Dior Addict Lip Glow) If I’m honest, I had trouble narrowing down the pink products I was going to feature. We’re talking eyes, lips, cheeks, and highlight people!

We’ll start with the blush since you can’t buy that one in a store (except ebay). Yes this is an original MAC “Don’t Be Shy” blush from the 2007 Barbie collection, that I have had since 2007. #notgross #youdontthrowawaylimitededition  This is my back up/never been touched one because when I bought this blush I knew I needed a backup it was so pretty! I’m not super cheesy girly in terms of my personality and the way I dress, but in my makeup packaging I don’t mind. I think this Barbie collection is one of my favorites that MAC ever put out. I would say that MAC’s Pink Swoon is probably pretty similar to this color. This type of medium cool pink is the ideal color to give cheeks that just pinched, or just been out in the cold look. #myfavorite #neverlooksmuddy

I think a lot of us know that Dior Addict Lip Glow has somewhat of a cult following. I have both the pink and coral color, that’s how much I like it. It comes in the most beautiful elegant pink packaging. It’s a hard type of balm in my opinion. By this I mean I have to press it hard to my lips, but it does hug and hydrate the lips in a balm type way leaving a hint of pink on your lips. I also kind of wish it didn’t have SPF 10 in it because my lips can be sunscreen sensitive and with a SPF of 10 what is really the point- for me this is not a selling feature. Enter the new Maybelline baby lips in “my pink”– I really do feel that this could dupe the Dior! #inmyhumbleopinion It’s balmier than the Dior, it’s a light pink like the Dior and it has no irritating SPF. Best of all it’s about $3.50 instead of $33. #winning #worthatry

So I just mentioned the Maybelline Baby Lips My Pink, I have several pink Maybelline products in this photo. Maybelline knows how to do pink quartz apparently! From top to bottom: I have the lip jolt in “never bare”, the master strobe in “light iridescent”, the color tattoo liquid chrome for eyes in “gilded rose” and the color tattoo crayon for eyes in “pink parfait”. We’ll start with the color tattoos which are both an icy pink and the perfect way to pop pink into your eye look, use as a shadow base, or brighten the inner corner of the eye. The chrome color tattoo is a liquid where the crayon is just that, a crayon type product, so it will come down to what type of consistency you prefer as they are both long wearing. Maybelline Master Strobe in “light iridescent” is surprisingly good for fair skin. It has no surprise glitter that you find later on your face #inthecarmirror #innaturaldaylight and is just a really pretty cream highlight. It also blends quite easily. Lastly, the new Lip Jolts have received lots of praise and some are saying they dupe or are even better than the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks in pigment and formula. I bought the three colors- “stripped down, never bare, and the berry naughty”. The “never bare” is what is pictured above and it is a pinky nude-leaning more towards pink. The formula is full pigment/opaque, like a lipstick, but thin on the lips so even though you have on a full coverage lip product, it doesn’t feel like you do. #remarkable. I also don’t find the smell of this offensive #likecandy and it has no flavor which I appreciate because I am sensitive to both taste and smell in my lip products. I personally can’t compare the Too Faced and Maybelline because I have never owned the Too Faced product. Maybelline is half the size of the Too Faced so honestly there is not much of a price difference as you are getting twice the amount for the Too Faced for exactly twice the price. This does not bother me because I never get through a lip product anyway so the smaller size is cheaper and allows me to experiment with more color options!

I mentioned how much I like the Real Techniques blush brush in my 50 Shades of Blush post, but I like many of the real techniques brushes and the “setting” brush is one of my favorites because it’s so versatile.  This brush is on the smaller side, tapered, and is perfect for highlighting, as well as setting the under eye. I do use this to set my t-zone as well, just patting it along my forehead, nose and chin (instead of buffing).  I have two of these so I can alternate between them and always have a clean one.

The Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in “Eastend Snob” has been around and talked about for a while now. However, I just recently picked this up and it’s worth the hype. It’s a perfect nude pink and the way the liner is shaped is perfect for filling in your lips all the way, make your lip look last longer. I like that it’s not super drying on the lips or tacky after you apply it. I’m not even a lip liner girl, but I love this one! Plus this would go perfectly under the Maybelline Lip Jolts for added wear time!

I’m not the only one who loves pink, glossier does too! I’m giving a shout out to and #glossierpink. This was the packaging of my recent/first order and I was so pleasantly surprised. It came with stickers to decorate your products or in my case my four year old helped me decorate my phone case with rainbows, stars, hearts, and sparkles. It also came with a card insert, poster, and the best plastic zip top pink bubble pouch. Since I had been in communication with them, I figured I would try their products. I ordered the terry headband (you have no idea how badly I was in need of one of these) and a generation g lipstick in the color “like”(definitely a want). The lipstick is really interesting and just as it’s described on the website. It’s a matte lipstick that’s like a dry balm and made to look like a stain on your lips. #comfortableonthelips The “like” color is a super pretty neutral pink and I also experimented with using it on my cheeks. #withsuccess  This is a product I’m going to keep in my handbag for those moments when you are out and you look in your rearview mirror or a bathroom mirror and wonder where your blush and lipstick went #theyareprobablyoffsomewheretogether. This glides on so easily, especially for a matte product- swipe onto lips, make three cat whiskers on cheeks and blend with your fingers, and voila you are good to go. Now I want all the colors, especially “jam” for Fall. Since I like this lip product, I’ve been looking at what else I might want to try from them. Here’s what tops the list: brow boy, skin tint (when it comes back in stock), balm dot com in cherry and rose, soothing face mist, and priming moisturizer. Like it says on the box in the picture- skin first, makeup second is their philosophy. They are all about a natural look and so are their products. You can check out all the products here for yourself! #imallaboutanaturallooktoo

And for your shopping enjoyment here is a 20% off code on your purchase at, will be applied at checkout. They are having a special on the soothing face most + coconut balm dot com for $25!

Leave in the comments what your favorite pink products are! There are a lot of pink products that I have that I didn’t mention. Maybe there needs to be a part two!
