I may have mentioned before that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale could quite possibly be my favorite sale of the year. I look forward to it all year long! I mean who doesn’t want to shop for Fall and Winter clothes in the middle of July 😉 Now that I have completed the makeup and skin care picks– let’s talk my favorite fashion picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This is quite a limited list of course, but includes items I ordered for myself or already own from previous years. [Please note that some of these items are sold out or nearly sold out. If you shop Nordstrom often, you know they restock randomly, and especially near the end of the sale they will do a full restock, so if you see something you love keep checking back!] This post is broken up into three sections by images: clothes, accessories, and athleisure/lounge.
Clothes! It’s definitely time to stock up on halogen/caslon tees and jeans of all kinds!
Halogen V-Neck Tunic Tee ($19.90)- My favorite tee of the sale so far (and everyone else’s apparently- limited colors remain)! I got this in several colors because I like the weight of the fabric- so soft, the way it fits- fitted but not tight, and that it’s not see through. It’s also a longer length- perfect for skinnies, leggings, and layering! True to size- if you want it less fitted, size up. Bought my regular top size- Medium. You can checkout the long sleeve version here which is also very limited.
BP Pocket Tee ($18.90)- I found this at the store and find it to be a cross between a very light weave sweater and a tee. It’s quite see through so a came is needed but the draping is nice and it doesn’t cling. It also has a nice length- longer, but not a tunic (not the sleeves are longer as well) If you want it to be more fitted- size down. I bought my normal top size- Medium and it’s nice and loose.
Caslon Knit Blazer ($39.90)- This is perfect for work or casual and that’s why I love it. It’s knit so it’s stretchy and cozy, while being somewhat structured and way dressier than a sweater or sweatshirt. #dressitupdressitdown I bought the burgundy and navy in a small and medium respectively- both sizes work- just depends how fitted of a look you want. There is not a front button so it’s made to be worn open. This sold out so fast last year and I wasn’t able to buy the navy so I was excited to see it again this year! All colors still available! There’s also a dark gray one here not part of the anniversary sale for $35.40.
The bottom row of this image includes 3 types of jeans- all mid rise and all under $60!
Skinny Jeans: the ones in the picture are Wit & Wisdom absolution skinny ankle jeans– ($44.90) but there are also these in different shades as well as this high rise pair. There are also some here from KUT from the Kloth Diana Skinny ($59.60) I love my Wit & Wisdom jeans and highly recommend them due to the amount of stretch but somehow they hold you in too- better than high end jeans in my opinion! They are inexpensive and a great option for us ladies not in our 20s anymore.
Boyfriend Jeans: I don’t really have any boyfriend jeans, I just haven’t found any to fit me right so I was on the hunt this year! My favorites are these- Caslon Distressed Stretch Boyfriend Jeans for $49.90– the color was great, the stretch was just enough, and the distressing was there but not super obvious, unfortunately everyone else likes how they fit and they are sold out, but I also got these which I liked too which is the Kut from the Kloth Catherine boyfriend jean for $59.60. They were a close second and I just wanted the cheaper ones! SIZE WAY DOWN in both of these just like it says to do and they will fit perfectly! The ones pictured are a Wit & Wisdom pair of boyfriend jeans for $51.90 but they were not at all like their picture when they arrived so be forewarned! They were a very light denim and were very distressed/holey.
Bootcut Jeans: I always love some bootcut jeans because I don’t have the greatest legs for skinnies so I love a good bootcut. They have a couple of options this year including a Wit & Wisdom ($44.90) pair and also KUT from the Kloth Natalie ($59.90)– pictured above (these ran quite long and I’m 5’6). Both have great shades and great stretch. Be aware that both of these tend to be tighter in the thigh area and then have a smaller boot cut opening at the bottom.
Accessories & Shoes! Time to stock up on your favorite designers!
Kendra Scott Rae Necklace ($49.90)- the Kendra Scott selection at the Anniversary Sale is always jewelry check out first! This year did not disappoint- instead of colors this year she gave us metal, which is great because they go with everything! There are many versions of this necklace including a smaller necklace, Elle earrings, smaller version earrings, and bracelet – see all Kendra Scott in the sale here.
Longchamp Expandable Pliage– ($129.90) a travel must have in whatever color you fancy! I have two of these from previous sales including black and beige- the black definitely gets the most use. These can hold so much for work, travel, or just having kids (ipads, favorite toys, drinks & snacks etc) the inside is coated so it’s sooo easy to clean. Like all pliages, it also folds down for packability. Sold out 🙁 Leather Large Pliage here– not expandable though
BP Scarf– BP scarves are usually $11.90 in the sale and this is too. I’m not the only one who likes leopard print apparently because it’s sold out. Sorry! It’s one to look out for and may be restocked! I will update as it becomes available 🙂
Converse Shoreline Sneaker – Unfortunately these have sold out too, Wow Early Access was crazy this year!
Toms Majorca Peep Toe Boots ($72.90)- I bought these last year in taupe and they are a great Fall boot to wear with jeans! They are comfortable and don’t rub- because I don’t wear socks with them obviously! The heel height is just enough to wear with longer pants but not enough that they hurt or are hard to walk in!
Tory Burch Claire Flat ($164.90)- Tory Burch has many nice items in the sale this year including this Reva-esque flats. They also have sandals and tall boots. The bags were too die for soft- I especially loved the tote! See ALL Tory Burch in the sale here!
Lounge and Athleisure! Because who doesn’t like to be cozy and fashionable?
Make and Model Gotta Have it Tee ($15.90)- I have a couple of these and they are great. You can size up and they can be long to wear with leggings, they are soft and you could even wear it to bed! They have both the v-neck and scoop neck available in a variety of colors.
Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan ($76.90)- If you don’t have one of these- What are you waiting for! These hardly ever go on sale so this sale is the best time to get them. This circle cardigan is the most versatile because it can be worn out- in public. Chilly at work? Throw this on. Chilly at home? Throw this on. Chilly Fall night? Throw this on. Cold at night? Sleep in it! And lets just touch on the Barefoot Dreams Robe ($73.90) in image directly below the cardigan- it is scrumptious and so cuddly. It’s actually thicker than the cardigan to keep you cozy and warm in the mornings and evenings. It is $76. All Barefoot Dreams in the sale here.
Zella Live in High Waist Leggings ($35.90)- Zella is Nordstom’s workout brand and people rave about it because the pants are so comfy and are never see through, while holding everything in. Usually they have the regular live in leggings but this year they have the high waist in black and burgundy! They also have the live in high waist capri leggings. All Zella in the sale here!
UGG Constantine Boots ($109.90) and UGG Wrin Slippers ($79.90). Nothing is more cozy and warm than shearling on your tootsies and no one does shearling better than UGG. They rarely go on sale, except sometimes at the of the season and this is your chance to get them pre-season. See ALL UGG in the sale here!
