I realize that this is a beauty blog and ya’ll are here for the makeup, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention some of my favorite fashion picks from the sale. I say some because it would nearly be impossible to talk about them all in one post. These are items I either bought this year or already have, or I have bought more than one! I apologize in advance if items are sold out, things went fast this year and they did not restock a lot of items. They do however restock through out the sale so if there’s an item you like- stalk it like crazy and I’m sure you’ll be able to order.
Descriptions are given left to right, top then bottom
Kendra Scott Rae Necklace– I now I have 5 of these. #blushing They are so versatile and I like this version without the tassle. I wear them all the time with t-shirts, dresses, and to work. I especially like the gold with brown because it doesn’t look like brown, it just looks gold.
Caslon pleat front v-neck top– this is a knit top. The pink smoke color is really pretty in person and I also like the navy geometric print which was sold out. I feel this is a top that can be work and weekend appropriate. Whether styled with skinny jeans or a trouser style pant I think it’s really cute. I’m also thinking Fall related it will look good under a cardigan, blazer, or jean jacket.
Barefoot Dreams Calypso Cardigan-there are two versions, the other is a “circle” cardigan. I first bought one of these three years ago when I first started reading pinteresttoldmeto.com now sheaffertoldmeto.com and now I have 5. They.are.that.good. So soft like a blanket but it’s also a cardigan. This is why they are lovingly called “blardigans” by her readers and me too! I’ve been known to sleep in mine. When I saw this pink color pop up the night before the sale went open to everyone I ordered it on backorder. I wasn’t going to get one this year because I have 4, but the heart wants what it wants. And sneak peek- QVC (of all places) is going to have a barefoot dreams cardigan as a today’s special value on August 5th but you can order early here with 6 colors to choose from.
hanky pinky retro thong– I have never tried these particular ones, I have the original ones, but this style intrigued me, especially after having kids so I’m going to try them out!
Halogen wool cashmere drape vest– I have many tunic or longer tops that I wear in Fall / Winter with leggings or skinny jeans and to me this looked like the perfect topper. It is a little long in the front for my liking, but it’s soft, light weight, and covers in the back. 😉 The description says there was a petite option but I never saw one so maybe that’s coming later. I also liked this caslon vest here, looked way better in person and on the body than the pic in my opinion.
hue “ww” leggings- (wide waistband) The very best leggings in the land! There are so many good things about them- they are cotton and do not look like workout wear. They are opaque, soft, don’t show any body sins #lumpsandbumps, they have a wide waist band to help in the tummy area- just a great legging. I bought replacements this year in black and charcoal as they are only $20.
NYDJ Addison wide leg jeans I know the fashion world is on a skinny jean craze right now, but give me a trouser/wide leg Jean any day of the week. I feel like they are coming back but are super hard to find. I jumped right on these. I have had this brand before so I know how they fit- I like that they are a high rise jean and that I can size down because they have lots of stretch. My only quandary was whether to regular or petit because they tend to always run long. Online it said the regular was a 32 so I went with that #we’llsee
Make + Model “gotta have it” tee I have never tried this tee before, in the past I ordered the halogen relaxed u-neck tees which they did not have this year. This year they had Caslon relaxed tees which came in all kinds of delicious colors, they were long in length, and all kinds of good until I read the laundering- wash cold and lay flat to dry- not in my world and definitely not for a tee shirt. #highmaintenance So I got the make model ones because they are cotton, also long, and I can put them in the dryer too 😀.
kate spade cell phone wallet, and another here I actually have the Lacey wallet, the second link, and it is great. Clearly I like versatility. I like a wallet that can be your wallet and cell phone holder -practically a clutch. You can keep it in your handbag, but take it out on its own if your going to dinner or quickly run an errand.
kate spade mini glitter studs the mama version of these earrings have been popular for a while now and then Kate Spade came out with this smaller sister version and then put them in the anniversary sale for $20. They are fun and sparkly while being appropriate for a variety of venues. A good option if you don’t like huge earrings.
pleione split neck mixed media tunic I have several of these (four) from years past- not last year though, something was off about it. The previous version of this was a little more flowy and shorter than this years version and you used to have to size down. This years version is a definite tunic (covers the bottom) but I find this to be more fitted and true to size, (you may need to go up a size if you have a larger chest or junk in the trunk because #clingyintheback)
tom’s majorca peep toe booties I have waited like two years to buy these boots and this year I did it. I already have a pair of tom’s wedge booties that are super comfortable. These boots always struck me as perfect transition shoes for Fall and Spring where it might be cooler in the morning and warmer in the afternoon and you don’t want a full on boot with socks. Can’t wait to wear them!
other items that are popular and not pictured:
Active/Running shoes nike, asics, etc
Tory Burch shoes and bags
