Here’s a peek into the July Play!bySephora box! Click here for the post with the link to join and click here for June’s box. I get pretty excited for this box to come as it is the only subscription box I get right now and I love all the stuff can be found at Sephora. This one didn’t make me jump for joy like the last one but its still pretty good and not at all disappointing. This time I included mini reviews where I could so let’s jump into it:
First Aid Beauty (FAB) Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay– a foaming gel cleanser with red clay to remove excess oil, purify and balance the skin. I’m excited to try this I already have the regular face cleanser which I use all the time and featured in this post “Taking it Off”. The “other” sephora play box came with the regular face cleanser. What I like about this brand is that it’s made for sensitive skin and the cleansers do not contain skin stripping sulfates. I think this particular red clay one will be perfect for Summer! (full size $24)
Ouai Wave Spray– A weightless texture mist to give hair an effortless, undone look while adding volume and shine. I was initially excited to get this because I love Wave/Salt Sprays. I have tried a bunch, but my two favorite so far are the Bumble & Bumble ones (surf spray and surf infusion). Unfortunately once I smelled this it was a no go. It had a strong smell- like a heavy perfume, and I think it dried out my hair- which some salt sprays can do so you have to be careful. Everyone has different hair so this may work for others, but the smell #gag. (full size $26)
Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer– A primer for combo to oily skin- controls shine, minimized the look of pores, and helps makeup last 8 hours. I have yet to test this one out, but I am interested in the pore minimizing magic this may possess. In general, I am not a fan of smashbox primers due to the fact that I have tried them time and time again and they are just too siliconey for my skin and cause my makeup to move around by the end of the day. I am always willing to give these primers a 20th chance though! (full size $39)
BeautyBlender Blotterazzi– Washable and reusable, this cushion blotter is designed to fit into facial contours to remove shine and absorb oil without disturbing makeup. I was probably most excited about this product because I love beautyblender and I probably would not have bought this on my own. This is perfect for my purse, so I can blot mid to late day shine. This was worth the price of admission for the box! (set of two $20, or one pro $20)
Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer in Chocolate– Lightweight, build able matte bronzer formulated with cocoa powder for a natural looking summer glow. Yes this really smells like chocolate! I already have this is and use it. It is a great matte bronzer for anytime of the year. This color chocolate is perfect for light/medium to tan complexions, they have milk chocolate and dark chocolate for fair and deep skin tones. If there is one thing that Too Faced does right, it’s bronzers! (full size $30)
Fragrance Sampler- NEST Citrine– layers of fresh lotus flower and freesia mingle with bright citrus and a base of precious woods. I haven’t even sniffed this yet, but I tend to like citrus and fresh scents so we will see! (full size $68, rollerball $25)
Alright that’s the round up of the July box- anything stand out to you? Did you get the other box with the regular FAB face wash and the Benefit Dew the Hoola? Since I already had the too faced bronzer, I wouldn’t have minded the Dew the Hoola since i haven’t tried that 🙂 I also feel that when I compare the two boxes, I got the box for oily skin, but I have normal to dry skin- probably need to change something in my profile.
