I love my Sephora Favorites as much as the next girl, but I also like to know if I’m going to buy one that I don’t already have the products and that I will use 80-90% of the set. Enter the Beauty After Last Call Set! For $36 you are getting 3 full sized products and 4 VERY deluxe sizes.  So I wanted to give you my take on this box as well some pics and swatches! I bought this in my Sephora, but they have it online as well. Let’s take a look at what’s in it! Full sized products are indicated with an asterisk*

1. 0.68 oz/ 20 mL Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Liquid in Opal (retail $19)
2. 0.1 oz/ 3 g Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Tinted Primer in Mink ¬Brown (retail $10)
3. 0.084 oz/ 2.4 g Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil in Illuminate and Sharpener (retail $32)*
4. 1 oz/ 28 g Dr. Jart+ Dermask Intra Jet Firming Solution™ (retail $12)*
5. 0.28 oz/ 8 g Hum Nutrition® Raw Beauty Green Superfood Blend in Mint Chocolate Chip Infusion
6. 1 oz/ 30 mL SMASHBOX Photo Finish Primer Water (retail $16)
7. 0.10 oz/ 2.8 g Tarte Rainforest of the Sea™ quench lip rescue in Nude (retail $19)*

Doing the math, this has an ACTUAL retail value of $108 (excluding the Hum powder which only comes out to about $1.66) that you are paying $36 for. That’s what I call an awesome deal! Plus you are getting to try some pretty mainstream products that you will actually use. #andbyyouImeanme All I can say is- don’t wait on this one because it will probably sell out. #thankmelater A lot of the reviews on sephora talk about what an extraordinary deal this particular sephora favorites set is. Here are some swatches (and keep reading for some mini reviews!):

The Tarte Lip Rescue in Nude is quite sheer and glossy (no shimmer), which I like. It does feel like a lip treatment and is very moisturizing. It does have a mild mint effect, making your lips feel kind of cool, but it doesn’t have any obnoxious taste or smell. If you wanted more color you could layer this on top of something or if you wanted a ylbb (your lips but better) look you could wear it alone. #whatido (a full sized product in this box and retails for $19) I like this enough that I would be willing to scope out other colors. 😉

The Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil in Illuminating is full sized in this kit and has a sharpener. Overall I am not a fan of pencil anything that I have to sharpen- for a couple of reasons. #youknowimgoingtotellyou I don’t find that emollient face products sharpen very easily, and a lot of product seems to be wasted in the sharpening process, and I don’t like that wood pencil smell. Just personal preference. With this said I like the highlighting effect that this pencil offers. It give you great control for small areas like the inner corner of the eyes or cupid’s bow, but it also blends out really easily for large areas like the cheek bones or the bridge of the nose. I probably would not have bought this for $32 on its own but in this kit it’s worth it!

I already own the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Opal in a smaller size that has lasted me forever. This is a solid product at a great size in this kit- .68 oz! If there is one thing Becca does best it’s highlighters! This is a creamy pearlescent peachy-golden opal shimmer that blends seamlessly into the skin. This shade is one of the most natural highlights. It looks a little dark in the photo above for some reason, but it doesn’t look like that on the face. You can use it alone or mix with other products like foundation, primer, or moisturizer for a little extra glow. In this set you are getting a very deluxe size that they actually sell on its own for $19. Full sized is 1.7 oz and sells for $41.

I have always wanted to try the Smashbox Primer Water and 1 oz and is a very generous deluxe/travel size that normally retails for $16. I have tried this a handful of times and liked it. I don’t know if it  helped my makeup stay on longer don’t think it’s necessarily supposed to), but it did take that powder look away as well as did not make me greasy or break me out. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pump/mist from this particular bottle as I did not find it to come out as a very fine mist, but no biggie. This among the other products mentioned and the great deal, helped entice me into purchasing this set. Unfortunately, I have not tried the Benefit They’re Real Prime in Mink or the Dr. Jart Mask, or HUM Powder so I don’t have an opinion on those yet. Overall I am really pleased with set and definitely recommend it! #noregrets
