Here it is! My favorite makeup picks of the summer. Like I mentioned in my summer favorites skincare post, I’ve been saving up my favorites from the summer to do one big post! I may just do monthly favorites from here on out because it was so hard to limit this to a manageable post, even then you might think this is too long and even with all the products mentioned, I may have left out some stuff! I tried to mention things that I have been using most of the summer and not just for a week or so …So lets get started:

Foundation: Some of my favorite foundations this summer have been Loreal Pro-Glow which was hyped and sought after like crazy. I was able to get mine in May and it’s impressive for a drugstore foundation. Although it says glow in the title, it’s really not too glowy in my opinion. I have also been enjoying Josie Maran’s Vibrancy Liquid Foundation, as well as my Neutrogena Liquid Spf 50 as my primer/sunscreen. I realize that I haven’t been using the Covergirl Clean Matte BB for very long, but it is the only foundation I am reaching for right now!

Face Products and Palettes: These palettes have been staples in my summer makeup routine. I like bronzer everyday in summer and two of my favorites are by Laura Geller- Tahitian Glow and Bronze-n-Brighten in Fair. I have also enjoyed the BareMinerals Sun Serum Bronzer and the Perricone No Bronzer liquid bronzer as well. I also enjoy the IT Cosmetics Face Palette for an easy bronzer, blush, and highlight. This compact is huge and I have had it for quite a while. The colors are smooth and pigmented, although the bronzer seems to get that hard crusty layer on top but is fine one you rub it off. #soundsgross On a day when I need a quick full face of makeup I reach for either of my Charlotte Tilbury Palettes- Natural Beauty or Seductive Beauty. Natural Beauty has the better contour color and Seductive beauty has the better bronzer color 🙂 but either way I can get a full face with eyes, blush, bronzer/contour and highlight. I haven’t reviewed or swatched this on the blog yet, but I have really been loving the LORAC Pro Palette 3 this summer. This was released around June and it’s a perfect toned down version of the first two palettes.  I have also been loving the $18 Nordstrom Sale Palette in Enchanting Elegance. The colors are cool and the blush is soooo beautiful. For cream blush, I have been enjoying the Tarte Kiss & Blush cream palette along with Lipstick Queen’s Frog Prince Cream Blush– this fun green blush is mistake proof so if you are dipping your toes into cream blush this one is the one to get- it is a pretty rosy color that is easy to blend on the cheeks, seriously you can’t mess it up! And Finally, I would be remiss not to mention the star of the summer- the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Palette that came out in May. I have used this so much for blush and highlighting, it has become a staple so we won’t talk about how devastated I was when I accident dug my nail into it and took out a sizeable chunk 😩.

Eyes: This section is going to include concealers- I tend to only use concealer under the eye, but they probably should have gone with foundations! #ohwell So I did talk about eyeshadow palettes above, now let’s talk about everything else that goes on your eyes! My favorite correctors this summer includes Giorgio Armani’s Master Corrector in Pink and the Urban Decay Naked Corrector in Peach. These are perfect because I can apply these first, they set and then I can apply concealer on top with no problems. These cancel out all my under eye darkness. Favorite concealers by far were Tarte Shape Tape and Urban Decay Naked Weightless Coverage Concealer. I picked up Milani’s Eye Primer this summer and like this every bit as much as my Urban Decay Primer Potion. And if you don’t feel like applying eye primer and then shadow, do an easy Summer, I mean Fall eye, using Maybelline’s Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon. My favorite colors have been Barely Beige and Bronze Truffle. These are good as primers/eye base for shadows too. For brows, I have been enjoying Glossier’s boy brow, which is not a gel and more of a waxy pomade and keeps those brows in place with a tint and without being crunchy. And of course my beloved Chanel le Volume Mascara, the holy grail of all mascara, and the Smashbox Always Sharp Kohl Liner are summer favorites! I plan to get more of these liners in the Ulta 21 days of beauty ;).

Lips: My main Lip product that I got at the beginning of the summer and went with me everywhere was the YSL Volupte Tint in Oil in Peach Me Love. It was perfect with every blush and every eye look leaving a moisturizing stain on my lips that was a my lips but better color. I also enjoyed my Anastasia Beverly Hills Summer Lipgloss set especially the Blush and St. Tropez colors! Realizing the SheaMoisture Luscious lipsticks were the best lipsticks at the drugstore was a major find, my favorite color is Tea Rose. Kudos to Maybelline for releasing a Too Faced Melted Lipstick dupe, which I can now confirm. These lip jolts are smaller in size than the Melted lipsticks but just as good. I’m going to feature these in a post next week called Stash Dupes!

Were any of these products your summer favorites too? Let me know in the comments!
