This is a follow up to the review I did on the new Becca x Chrissy Tiegen Palette (review and swatches here). I wanted to share my thoughts and swatches of the new Becca Sunchaser Palette (now on sale for $20- originally $34) that was released for Summer 2017. I got both of these palettes around the same time and wasn’t sure that I was going to keep both because of redundancy, but I did end up keeping both because they are both pretty different in my makeup addicted eyes. This is coming from someone with 50 varying shades of champagne eyeshadow and pink blush so take it as you will! #differentenough It’s about time that I do this review because now it’s on sale for $20 at Ulta and beccacosmetics.com (#nowthatsasteal), beautylish.com (still $34), and qvc.com ($29- also you can view a video here)- #rundontwalk
This palette is a nice, well rounded face palette that will be great for travel or a way to try their new bronzers. For the new $20 price tag it’s a no brainer. You are able to bronze, blush, and highlight with this little palette. Two of the three shades are exclusive to this palette including Ipanema Sunset bronzer, and Apricot Blossom mineral blush. Opal is an oldie but goodie! The overall look this palette gives you is a natural sun kissed glow look with bronzer, a peachy blush, and lit from within highlight. I find the shades in this palette to be very pigmented- if you are fair, use a light hand! Because of the pigmentation and saturation of the colors, this palette will work with many skin tones. I would also like to note that these can not only be used on the eyes but could be doubled as eyeshadows! #perfectfortravel
Ipanema Sunset– This is a medium bronze that can be sheered out and appears to have some sparkle to it, but i’m happy to say the sparkle does not translate to the skin. When I initially saw this sparkle- I thought this was going to be an instant return. On the skin it looks natural giving you a nice bronze look. I would not recommend this to contour as it is warmer.
Apricot Blossom– This is a peachy matte blush, that is fairly light on the skin but makes you look naturally flushed- going perfect with the sun kissed glow look!
Opal– I have used the opal skin perfector for a while and it is a perfect highlight as you can tell from the swatches. It can be layered for a strobing look, or blended in for a natural lit from within look. As I stated above- it’s also great as an eyeshadow!
Packaging: The packaging is very similar to their other slim palettes, and the same in size. It is made of hard plastic and has a secure clicking closure. The outside is an ombre of bronze, peach, and cream to resemble to shades inside.
I am almost never disappointed in Becca powder products, and this was another winner. This is a versatile palette, giving you a natural summer look without taking up much space in your bag or makeup drawer. This is a must have at $20 because that’s practically drugstore pricing! And yes I bought this for $34! Happy Shopping!
